Michael Caruso was born in Galveston, Texas and raised in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Caruso attended The University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, Texas where he double majored in both Accounting and Finance. Thereafter, Mr. Caruso completed his first year of law school at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, before transferring to The University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas.

During his law school career, Mr. Caruso served as the Executive Editor of the Houston Law Review, while also receiving dean’s list honors. Additionally, Mr. Caruso also served as a Student Representative for the Student Honor Board, Treasurer of the Corporate & Taxation Law Society, and Student Mentor for the Transfer Student Mentorship Program.

Prior to joining the Bergquist Law Firm, Mr. Caruso gained valuable legal experience interning under the Honorable Judge Eduardo V. Rodriguez with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. There, Mr. Caruso observed hearings, while also researching and writing on various bankruptcy issues.

In his spare time, Mr. Caruso enjoys playing recreational sports, watching the Texas Rangers, and spending time with friends and family.

Mr. Caruso is based in our Houston office.
