Matthew Olivares was born in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Olivares received his Bachelor’s Degree in Government and History from The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. After graduating, Mr. Olivares attended law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, where he graduated cum laude and earned his Juris Doctorate. During his law school career, he participated in NFL and NBA contract negotiation competitions against several other law schools throughout the nation at competitions held by Tulane University School of Law and Fordham University School of Law.

Prior to joining the Bergquist Law Firm, Mr. Olivares gained valuable legal experience working at a personal injury firm as an Associate Attorney.
