Ms. De Hoyos received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, where she also minored in Business Administration. After graduating, Ms. De Hoyos obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center.

During her law school career, Ms. De Hoyos served on the Houston Young Lawyers Association Board of Directors and also served as a student attorney at the University of Houston Law Center’s Consumer Law Clinic, where she contributed over 120 hours representing low income clients in the clinic’s Hurricane Harvey Assistance Program.

Prior to joining the Bergquist Law Firm, Ms. De Hoyos gained valuable legal experience as a law clerk at a personal injury law firm and a consumer lawfirm, while attending law school. Ms. De Hoyos also interned for the Honorable Beau A. Miller in the 190th Judicial District Court and at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
